Volunteers from more than 50 countries have worked aboard the Africa Mercy. She is the second largest non-governmental hospital ship in the world and doubles the medical capacity of all previous ships.

The Africa Mercy has meeting and work spaces, as well as bunk beds for an average crew of 450 people. She includes 26 family cabins, 25 couples' cabins and 2 bunk beds, and the rest consists of cabins with up to 10 beds.
